We are the only boat to run these these trips out of Brighton.
There is no escaping the fact that the better fish are generally to be had further offshore than a single days fishing gives access to, which is why our French trips have become so popular. We offer 2, 3 and 4 day trips targeting Pollock & Cod on the mid-channel & Normandy wrecks in the Winter months and Turbot & Brill in the Summer on the mid-channel and French Banks. 2017/18 Turbot trips saw an average of 40 fish/day coming to the boat on these trips.
Its a 70nm hop across the Channel for these great value 2 to 4 day trips and we can assist with booking accommodation in the port of Dieppe in a 3* hotel (average cost pp/night is currently £50)
These are long days (10-12 hrs) with the focus on spending as much time in the right area’s as possible. The real advantage of these trips is the flexibility and number of options they provide when covering such a wide area. When we hit a wreck/bank holding good fish, we focus our efforts on working that particular area on our return trip which saves wasting time searching features which may not be holding the target species.
2019/20 prices for these trips (excluding accommodation)
2 Day Trip – £230 individuals / £2300 whole boat booking (max 12 anglers)
3 Day Trip – £345 individuals / £3450 whole boat booking (max 12 anglers)
4 Day Trip – POA
Fishing in the Channel Islands has fallen away over the last couple of years which is a real shame. Alderney is a beautiful Island with wonderful people but if the fish aren’t there then it becomes more of a pleasure trip and less of a fishing trip. Until the fishing situation improves we will be focusing our attention on our French trips which have been far more reliable and present better value. We will continue to monitor the fishing situation in the Channel Islands and if it shows signs of significant improvement we will reinstate them.
