Cancellation & Refund Policy
Your right to cancel
Once a deposit has been paid, you are liable for the full cost of the charter, regardless of attendance. We aim to be reasonable and will consider individual circumstances at our discretion.
If the skipper cancels
Safety is our priority. The skipper continually monitors weather and sea conditions and will advise if a charter cannot proceed. If we need to cancel due to conditions or operational reasons, you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule to another available date.
Tackle / Equipment Hire
We carry a small number of spare rods and reels in case a passenger experiences equipment failure. Additional sets of hire equipment are available at £10 per set. A selection of basic terminal tackle is also available for purchase on board should passengers require it.
Passengers who choose to fish during their charter are responsible for bringing suitable equipment for their own use.
Personal Equipment Liability
Brigand Charters accepts no liability for personal belongings or equipment brought on board. Passengers do so at their own risk. Please take care around the equipment of others, as you may be liable for any damage caused to another passenger’s property.
Drugs & Alcohol
The safety of passengers and crew is our highest priority. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on board. If any passenger is found to be in possession of, or under the influence of, illegal substances, the vessel will return to port immediately and the police will be notified. The individual(s) involved will be liable for the full cost of the charter.
Alcohol is permitted in moderation. If the skipper considers that a passenger is unfit to safely remain on deck due to alcohol consumption, they may be asked to stop participating in activities for the safety of all on board. If excessive alcohol consumption results in the charter returning to port early, the individual(s) responsible will be liable for the full cost of the charter.
We treat all passengers with respect and ask that the same courtesy is extended to our crew and to fellow passengers.
