The Skipper

Boats and the sea have been a constant throughout my life. I began sailing at the age of 11, progressing from dinghies
to larger yachts and competing internationally as professional race crew in regattas from Sardinia to Cape Town,
including winning the Rolex World Cup. I have completed several transatlantic crossings on both sail and power Superyachts and have logged over 40,000 miles at sea.

Before becoming a full‑time commercial skipper, I spent 30 years in the Fire & Rescue Service, finishing my career as a senior officer responsible for major incident command and specialist rescue teams. This background has given me
extensive experience in safety management, risk assessment and operational leadership — all essential when operating at sea.

My role on board is the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, ensuring that all passengers have a secure and enjoyable time on the water. Passengers may choose to fish independently during their charter, but my primary responsibility is the vessel, the conditions and the safety of everyone on board.
