During private charters, some passengers choose to fish independently for bream, a species that appears in good numbers along the Sussex Coast from spring onwards. These fish are often found over mixed ground or around offshore structures later in the year, and passengers who intend to target them typically bring light or medium tackle suited to their preferred methods.
As with all fishing, approaches vary widely between individuals. Passengers often research seasonal patterns, bait choices or rig styles in advance, and may bring a selection of commonly used baits such as squid, worm or shellfish depending on personal preference.
Fishing during the charter is entirely optional and is undertaken independently by passengers. Our role is the safe navigation and operation of the vessel while transporting passengers to suitable areas when conditions allow.
The vessel carries ice storage for any fish passengers choose to retain, helping to keep catches in good condition throughout the charter.
