During private charters, some passengers choose to fish independently in inshore areas, typically within 10 miles of the coast. These areas include a variety of reefs, gullies and natural features that can hold a wide range of species throughout the year.
Passengers who intend to fish often bring tackle suited to the species they are interested in, such as plaice, bass, mackerel, bream, rays, gurnard, wrasse, cod or whiting. Conditions such as tide, season and water clarity can influence how passengers choose to fish, and many prefer to research methods or tackle options in advance.
Because of the diversity of species and approaches, there is no single recommended setup. Passengers are welcome to discuss their intended plans when booking so we can confirm whether their chosen equipment is suitable for the areas we expect to visit. Any bait used during the charter is selected and handled by passengers at their own discretion.
Fishing during the charter is entirely optional and is undertaken independently by passengers. Our primary role is the safe operation and navigation of the vessel.
